● Community engagement activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness and encouraging participation include planting community forests, dredging canals and removing water hyacinths to prevent flooding—while repurposing the hyacinths into useful products—constructing check dams to mitigate drought, eliminating rice stubble without burning to reduce smoke and air pollution, and planting vetiver grass to prevent soil erosion.
